With 4 month old twins in the house, we spend more on formula and diapers than I ever thought possible. $10 seems insignificant, but it's the best I can do at the moment. Like you, I'd give the whole amount if I could.

Ouch! I have an 11 year old girl who's mother decided she will attend private school in the fall. She told me she was hopeing I would pay half of the tuition. Unfortunatly, I simply cannot (unless I quit my job and move cross country to live with my mother, but then I wouldn't have a job either.) The sad thing is that I could give her mother every dime I scrape up and would still get the same "Is that all???"

I get your point. But I'm ambivalent about your suggestion. Sending G.W. anything with the Pryor's name on it will backfire. Less than 24 hours later, the GOP will be claiming Richard Pryor supports President Bush in the elections! They've already co-opted Don King which makes sense if you think about it. Crooks of a feather hang together. Oh yeah, and I love JTF's post above. Funny man..

I made a donation to the Fund for Animals. It wasn't much, but I hope it helps. Better than spending it on some bullshit, which is probably where it was headed.

I think Jen's anger may stem more from the fact that she gives so much of herself to this site and is seeing very little in return. A lot of people come here to rant and rave and kiss Mr. P's ass but not enough just stop by and say, "Hey, Jen. How are you today? Is there anything I can do for you?" Even people high up on the pole need that sometimes and maybe she just hit a point of anger that people are taking and taking and not giving anything back. To donate a few dollars to her favorite cause is not asking a lot and if everybody registered here donated $1.00, just one dollar, a $1,000 would be raised overnight to help out one of Mr. & Mrs. P's favorite passions. I have seen this woman in action and let me tell you, she deserves it. It's really more about people just giving a fuck more and helping out,(which we have far too little of today) even if this is not your passion, it's hers and anything I can do to help her out, she's got because she's given so much to me in just the last six months I've been hangiing out here. Just my two cents.
