jane_haze,
though i agree with Dave-i think a good healthy distance is needed before you can make peace...so get the fuck away from him, as far as you can, mending and healing is for later-save yourself now...you do have friends here...if you need help...

jane_haze,
Keep the lines of communication open even if all you do is check in to let your dad know where you are once in awhile. There isn't always time to make peace. Tomorrow can bring anything.

I plan to stay in touch, mainly with my step mom. I'll let her know where I am, because she asked me to and she did seemed pretty concerned. My real mom called me and told me that I should apologize and go straight back to him (actions speak louder than words on that one...).
Right now, I plan to finish out the semester here at school. If Cobb's keeps the 18 and up can go to their New Years shindig, than I'll be in SF then. After that, I dunno... if I happen to find a job during the time I'm in San Francisco, I just might not come back up here.
There are so many options to consider right now, its making me almost apathetic to my whole situation. I guess I better get to contemplating...and praying...

astonamous,
I will say that I'm not in a dangerous area. Firstly, Fairbanks doesn't have a scary crime rate...especially compared to memphis. It's laughable here.
Secondly, the girl that is letting her room out has been a really good friend of my step sister for years and I've kinda known her for a while, so her background checks out. She may not be the brightest, or be all that dependable, but she's alright. I just don't want to make it a long term thing, because she'll be moving soon and besides, she's not a house keeper...cough...far, far far from being on. So, I'm safe for the time being, but I still need to keep looking.
