Barry Pepper should have won a Oscar for his role as Roger Maris.

"Inside Moves"
Although not really a sports movie it did have some basketball and I love "Never Give Up" types of movies.

Karate Kid comes to mind as a pretty good flick. Caddyshack, Major League, Rocky. I heard that Stallone stole alot of the Rocky story from Joe Frazier's life story. Like, Frazier did all that stuff, even running up those damned stairs. I think Frazier got pissed.
