tamra,
Ok, Ok - I recognize the 5th Dimensions - yes, I sure do - liked them too.
Tony Orlando & Dawn - Are they old age rappers? HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAH
Telma Hopkins - now, I know her - but don't want to know nuttin' about her pootang!!!! Likek JTF does - he is SOOO NASTY!!!
So Tamra - Carlton's taste in music dwells in ya, for real~!!
I am just kidding, I have heaard of these people - just never really had the urge to listen to any of their music voluntarily though! Now, if one of them sang the hook on the next 50cent or Snoop Dogg joint, it would be HOT LIKE FIRE!!!
Holla!

astonamous,
I know you can always get in a good mood with the classics and everyone knows the songs. try that w/today's nonsense
can you hear grandma singing: I'm not saying she's a gold digga, but I don't see her messing... or even better that whisper song by Ying Yang
grandma would be looking like
but you know what's a good road trip CD: Ray Charles greatest hits or Temptations. everybody thinks they can sing and dance when "Ain't Too Proud To Beg" comes on.

Murphdogg,
dude, the Pina Colada song was by Rupert Everett (I think that's his last name), act like you know player!
but tis2flyyy, now I will wear out Snoop's Doggystyle CD. one of the few rappers' CD's I buy along w/Tupac and JayZ's old stuff. but I have an old school rap cd w/a variety of artists like Heavy D, D-Nice, Biz Markie, and what was that guy, "Bitch better have my money". but don't ask me why Vanilla Ice's Ice Ice Baby was on that CD.
but my friends clown on me when I slap in my Willie Nelson CD's and start singing and humming. I have to remind them Willie IS gangsta like the rappers they wanna hear. he smoked a joint on top the white house. name one rapper who can say that?? what? huh? yeah, boy, that's what I'm talking about!

astonamous,
I have my RP LP's on cassette for road trips, but need to get a CD box set or ITunes/IPod collection to make it easier. I also keep a Chris Rock CD ready. sometimes I have to pull over from laughing if it's my turn to drive. between crying, holding my side and laughing, esp. at that stuttering mothafukka in the chinese restaurant OMG
and I have to have the Doobie's Minute by Minute when I'm starting out. man I have loved the LP since day one puts ya in a good mood, esp. the all instrumental banjo song.
and I have Gladys Knight, Louis Armstrong, Jackie Wilson and more oldies on CD than new stuff. but my collection is a trip, even classical which I could get stabbed if I slapped on w/certain people. *that's a damn shame*
