Jennifer,
I send all my apologies for being absent for such a long while. I yearn to tell Mr. Rob thank you and ask where were you when I needed you? There are so many things happening here in Augusta, GA. Augusta has shockingly expressed its discontent via our local free rag, The Metropolitan Spirit. Even though the paper has just touched, and stepped, although courageously, on sacred white, previously white owned soil. Uncle Ted wrote a peice about it.
Kisses,
Kellywise

artforartsake,
Excellent advice you posted awhile back! Thank you for that. I hope she really takes that to heart because it's SO true.

That's what I want to know. Did Rob make it down there? Sounds like he didn't.

It's weird reading this because I have a script idea that's been in limbo for some years on subject matter very close to this. It's not based on any fact, just something I made up that I thought would be a good story.
I really believe God plants seeds in us and when their time comes, they will sprout and it's up to us to nuture them and keep em strong.

Maybe we're REALLY onto something here.

One thing I've been learning about is local press from being in radio. I've met a couple people in this area that are putting together neighborhood papers that rise in popularity quite quickly. So here's is my advice to this lady, and I don't really know if this fits her path of attack, but this is where I would start if I were her....

Get your articles together that aren't specifically time intensive. Find others that are similarly like minded and have them write articles that aren't specifically time intensive. Print up a few show coppies and shop them to potential advertisers who'd be willing to front money for printing and Distro costs. Then let it grow. Act locally, think globally...
