Now the story is front page in Yahoo! news:
Murdered Doggie Reward.
I so hope that they find the bastard(s), or the bastardettes, though most likely it was a guy or group of young boys that are the perps, that did that to that doggie and use the reward money for some rope, muzzle and a burlap bag for them so that they can experience what that doggie had to experience.

Oh My God!!
I just read the article about the Golden Retriever and the fund being put together to find this animal. I just can't believe how people treat there dogs! My 2 goldens are the best thing right now. I'd take them pretty much over some of the members of my family, and i think they know it too! As I always say, they have me perfectly trained.
Well, i'm sending in my donation for this cause and when they catch this animal, what he/she did to this dog, should be done to them!

juliatat, thank-you for your kind message:) You're right, I probably never will or could understand how someone could abuse an animal. I admire people like you who give themselves mind, body and soul towards helping the abused ones firsthand. I understand what you mean about having to toughen up mentally in order to get through some of the horrors and suffering you see. I'm a nurse and have had to learn to do that myself when it comes to people but I've never been strong enough to do that when it comes to animals. It rips my heart out and scars me emotionally to see them hurting. My family critizises me and says that I love animals more than people. I tend to believe that it's because I think of animals as the innocent ones who can't help themselves. Obviously, I love people too or I wouldn't be a nurse. I appreciate my friends here on the board too, they have helped me to vent and also give me reason to smile. (Jennifer even lets me ramble on like this without getting pissed at the space I take up...lol). I wish I could work with abused animals directly like you do but I know my mind couldn't take it, so I do what I can and donate monetarily, help with adoptions locally and have many spoiled critters at home who give me a reason to live. I must be doing something right, my brother told me the other day that when he dies he wants to come back a one of my cats!...lol. Blessings to you and the precious ones you extend your love to.
