I'm not a comic, not that I don't have the desire to try, I just don't have the cajones. For those here who do go on stage, do you feel at the times when you bomb, it's not so much a material issue than it is the wrong audience at the wrong time? Or is it always your responsibilty to put out material that will always win an audience over? Sorry for my ignorance, I want to try it, I just gotta grow the spine.

So you kicked ass at the VelVeeta Room? COOL! Wish I had been there to see it. What trips me out about bombing is that you never totally bomb. Some of the jokes go over and give you a false sense of security and you launch into the next joke expecting the same reaction and crickets start chirping. But what really helps is stagetime. There's always an uneasiness about going onstage. But after awhile, you develop cajones of steel and that's when you flourish. Or so I've been told.

Sometimes your material can be wrong for the audience and sometimes, it's just you. One of the most crucial things about comedy is being likable onstage. If they hate you, its gonna be a long 30-45 minutes....

Anditsdeeptoo,I can only speak for myself here, the correct answer is you don't blame the crowd, I have to take responsibility..okay now to what I really think, sometimes you get a freakin horrible crowd, and sometimes it's you, if NOBODY get's over it's the crowd, though that's not exactly true, because you know a jedi Knight like Mr P or a George Carlin would of got over with them..Hippy chick..thanks soooo much for what you said your a class act.

Everytime I have a gig in LA I expect to bomb. I might have a negitive mindset but I'm just don't want to get my hopes up.
