You brought up some good points. one in particular...the "hearing the same thing" issue. I refer to this as hack material. Same shit...different comedian. It's one thing to do your own twist on a done before subject (ex. michael jackson trial) but when it sounds the same as the guy two nights before you? BORING! That's why I get tired of ComicView.
You also mentioned George Lopez. That cat to me is one of the best out there. If you haven't seen "Why you cryin'?"...you need to. That dude has a lot of Richard's influence in his act and it's very good. He basically brings his experience to the people who know nothing about the Latino world.
