Are you talking about The Comedians Comedian? I have a feeling it was exclusively English comedians that voted, and stand up in England is not that large, sketch comedy is where it is at right now over here with shows like Little Britain and in the recent past The Fast Show. Most stan up is hidden away on cable. Richard was the highest ranking Stand Up, Woody Allen was no.3 but that was because of his movies. I remember watching the show of the comedians comedian and Jackie Mason spoke for everyone, he said, "if you ask 50 comedians who their favorite stand up is, 9 out of 10 would say Richard Pryor". Pretty accurate.

Also the humour is different (as well as the spelling !). In that survey Peter Cook was voted the No 1 Comedian's comedian because he took satire to a different level, now Peter Cook probably wouldn't make any US list of top comedians....but he still was a fucking funny guy!

Hey Rob, allow me to introduce myself, I am tis2flyyy - meaning just that - FLY 'till the day I die! My friends here on the site call me Big T. I used to be Murph's pimp, but Tamra stole him from my stable. Damn, damn, DAMN! Murph was the BEST by far!!!!

Now, I am trying to see what is up with Bingolong! With a name like that, he gots to make it to be TOP DOGG #1 on my crew.

My next in line favorite comedian is a BLACK WOMAN - who is a QUEEN OF COMEDY and her name is Som'more. Now, she is FUNNY & she is REAL. But she will NEVER get the props as some of the names I have seen in this post. BUT, she will get props from me, I am her #1 fan! One of her coined lines is " You don't know money, like I know Money!"

In one of her sets, she came out - DRESSED TO KILL - to Trina's "Who is the baddest bitch?" and talked about how she wanted her audience to show her more love because she had just got out of jail. She said that when she first got up in there, she was like Tupac, strutting around all bad, saying "Keep your head up". But when the reality that she was actually IN JAIL, set in, she started balling and felt like Ms. Sopia on the Color Purple!!!!

I thought that shiznit was funny as hell!!!!!!

So my props goes to her as one of my all time favorites.

& is goes unsaid TMIC is at the very TOP of my list and will NEVER be replaced. I love you Richard!

A friend of mine worked with Som'more one week. He knocked on her dressing room door, she told him to come in. When he walked she had her hand down her top adjusting her breasts. He said "I'm sorry, I'll come back later."
Som'more told him... "Baby relax, I'm just down in here breaking up the fight." She does bring it on the stage.
Don't tell Jane_Haze, but I would give Som'more a discount if she ever wanted my man-bitch services. Please don't tell Jane_Haze that... she just got her nails done and mami scratches.
