Jennifer,
Murphy never gave RP anything? Pardon my french, but that mo'fo needs his ass kicked. Dont' get me wrong. I love Eddie Murphy. But that's just not right! Does he have a website where I can write him? Don't worry, I'll be subtle. Jamie Foxx, on the other hand, is an actor - or poser. I wouldn't even bother.
Hippiechick,
You in the SF area? You wouldn't know this ethiopian comedienne named Yayne Abeba, would you? Funny lady. Oh and if you ever have the chance to follow J.R. Brow, don't! That guy is phenomenal onstage. Better live than on t.v.

Jennifer,
Ms. Pryor, as a sometime contributor to this board and one of the many people touch comedy of Richard Pryor. I think I may have a solution. If you could get all of the big time comedians who have stolen from Mr. Pryor to agree to have some of their material put on tape and show Richard doing the bit and then the person doing the bit.
Maybe it could be called Pryor's Disciples or Students.
You could have them talking about how Richard influenced them and the show Richard doing the bit and then show the theif doing the bit. Especially if it is word for word like Jaime Foxx's bit.
Of course they would never agree to this but if they are doing a straight word for word bit how would they sue?
Joke theives are the worst. Even worst are the motherfucking club managers and TV producers who let these mf's perform. How you going to tell the young bucks to respect the game when the people you see on TV are stealing jokes.

astonamous,
Yeah, there's definitely a bias against women. I see it all the time. What a shame. Some of the funniest comics working today are women. There's this one woman in Texas named Caroline Picard who should be a huge star! She's phenomenal.

That Old Hippie Chick,
Gone with your bad self. Okay, that was a compliment -- for the ebonically challenged. Seriously, though, I envy your optimism.

That Old Hippie Chick, thank you..i've got alot to learn about this biz, and I've got to learn fast..I'm not going to run a comedy show on wedsday cause it would be stepping on someone elses toes they said even if I ran it after their show, so I'm going to run a band..I don't now how the hell I got myself into the promotional side of this already, but it sucks and I think I'm ruffling feathers for having a room already

Look yall, I don't no whether or not Jaime Foxx,Rickey Smiley,Eddie Murphy or anybody else has ripped off some of Richard's material. But you had to admit, that shit was funny!
Especially when Eddie Murphy mentioned Richard in Raw.He was like Bill Cosby had called him and told him to tone down his act.He told Richard and he said ,"The next time you talk to him, tell him I said have a coke and a smile and shut the fuck up!"
