Why not make your DVD player multi-region. It's quite simple with 99% of players. Tell me the make and model of yours, and I'll try and find out for you.
BTW, I remember seeing Here And Now at the Dominion theatre Tottenham Court Road, sometime in the early 80's. Saw Millie Jackson live there around the same time as well. Two very funny evenings.
