This smile is for all of you wonderful people!
First, I want to sincerely commend each of you for your tenacity and drive to keep at it, even when you all experience bumps on the comedy road.
smjmcomic - Culver City - where that club was - is populated by yuppies mofo's with their panties pinching their crotches. Uptight mofo's, for real The deal with the LA comedy set is that you should get into the urban clubs - the smaller joints. I bet that you will be received very well there. I happened to be down in that area and seen all of those cars and white people that I kept it pushing. Didn't want to get myself lynch or something, ya understand? I wish that I had your celly#, then I could have called you and told you let's roll and take you to The Spot - a place I hang out that is really cool. You can stand up, tell a few jokes. People will laugh.
MurphD - for you to have been in comedy for just over a year I am really, really proud of you. You are a positive- pull yourself up by the boot straps type of person. Great things are going to happen for you. I just adore you, I am going to write you another poem!!!
Bitchcomic - if you glow in the dark maybe you should consider changing the type of face powder that you use!!!! Naw, just tripping, you have great wit and a sharp tongue - I like! Keep it going young lady, surely anyone can see that you are a sho' nuff rising star!
Nick - peace dude! Whazup? Don't let the haters get you down, straighten your spine and hold your head high. Comedy is a beautiful thing - you make people laugh and that is a gift. Know that you have that gift and you have the right to give it as you wish. Meaning you are in control of all this!!!
Mojones, that doing gigs and getting up to go to work the next day shot - MAN - do you have tenacity & a strong will!!! I think you are amazing & my hat is off to you for all of your positive energy here. Just remember, on those nights when you are coming home for a gig that has gotten you down and you have to go to work the next day - on that drive home - put in a CD of Richard's and give a shot out to him. Know in your heart that you are walking in the footsteps of a GREAT comedian that opened many avenues for comedians to follow in that were before not accessible. This should make you proud of all of your efforts.
Just wanted to give ya'll a positive word for the day and to let you all know that I may have never been a fan in one of your audiences but I am a FAN all the same. Much love and respect for all that you do & thank you for taking the time out of your lives to make us laugh.
Peace & One Love
Big T
