bingolong,
I'm witcha on that one bingo. That shit got deep with Peter. I believe the next one will focus more on Spiderman now that he's in it to win it. What a well constructed script. Something you don't see much of in blockbuster films these days. It set up things beautifully for the third one. Can't wait to see Pt. 3! I just really hope they end it on the next one and not drag it on unnecessarily.
I think this will end up being the best superhero franchise ever!
Great flick!
GO SEE IT, FOLKS!
Thumbs fuckin' up! :)

dougdigitalpro,
They're definitely not stopping at 3. There are sooo many great spider-man stories to tell. In fact, Spider-man 2 has already revealed the likely candidate for part four's villain! And I'm not talkin' 'bout Harry Osbourne! 8-O
If you like the Parker/SM turmoil, check out recent Amazing issues. They come in quarterly (?) collections. The series will probably get bad at some point--as the comics did in the mid-90's. (A long story.) But some writer/director will come along and take it in to completely uncharted territory--as the recent Amazings have. P.S. I grew up on Mr. Pryor in Superman 3. He was great as usual.

Jennifer,
Tell your hubby I said "RightOn!!" :)

bumperhead,
Yeah Dr.Conners could become The Lizard!!!I also think Jameson's son the astronaut is supposed to turn into Venom or some other bad guy. They definitely put together a good set-up for a great Franchise!!!

bingolong,
You hit the nail on the head with the Lizard. Jameson's son became the Man-Wolf but that character sucked so much...you won't see him in a movie. As for Venom...when I was a kid he was cool...for about a second. I don't think Raimi even likes Venom...can't say I blame him. Personally, I'm looking forward to Kraven the hunter, Sandman, and this new guy Ezekiel (great character!). I'm also hoping to see some riff on the Gwen Stacy tragedy since they missed that opportunity.

Then with everything that lead to that moment with the train!!!I felt bad for him already at the party when he gets slapped, his girl disses him and gets engaged...damn!!!But that train scene really did take the cake.....

bountyhunterseven,
Man, I DID let off some tears during Aunt May's speech!
What she said was SOOOO inspirational and the way she delivered it was just acting at it's best. She should get nominated for that next year. She helped make the movie.
The train scene was amazing also and I even liked the little Jesus analogy they snuck in there. This film made me realize how much we as a country DO need a hero. Farenheit 9/11 was great, but it depresssed the shit out of me and kinda leaves you feeling hopeless. Spiderman 2 restored hope a little bit for me. Watching that I still got hope for this crazy country of mine. Makes you feel good to be an American again and that is sorely fuckin' needed right now.
Just a GREAT, GREAT movie!!! :)

As a Star Wars nut, I dig that tag line you got also, dude! :)
