Jennifer,
I spent most of the morning trying to prove it was a hoax (Drudge & a Phoenix CBS station were the ONLY ones to have the news; not even CNN
had the news yet).
Each time a person passes, an encyclopedia passes with it.
While Marlon was a genius, he never wanted fame. Even with fame and wealth, he had MANY a tragedy in his life.
It's been a rough couple of weeks...
May God Bless Marlon, Ray Charles, and their families.

Smokey H,
I thought it was ah hoax when I saw it here when JTF posted.I saw on the "The Waterfront" recently on a whim and Brando for all the cliches that came from that movie still was able to surprise me with his performance....

bingolong,
Presence. Some folks have it, some don't...
Delivery. (same as above)
It's like I've told people the past few weeks; I saw
Prince and that MF has BOTH...in LOADS!
You can feel the presence...and it's MAGIC!!!

This from CNN:
"Brando reportedly wound up millions of dollars in debt defending Christian, and the star subsisted during his final years almost entirely on small residuals from his films, Social Security benefits and a pension from the Screen Actors Guild."
Je-sus...this is just SAD....
What a LOUSY Day!!!

artforartsake,
I am sorry he let celebrity turn him into a fool-cause he became one-never taking away his talent.

Jennifer,
I heard the funniest thing regarding him. A woman who wrote a biography about him wanted to meet with him. She sent request after request, but to no avail. A friend of his told her to send a fax to his dog, asking the dog if she can meet with him. She followed the advice, then received a response "REQUEST DENIED." It was signed with the dog's name!
