Hey, I just found out that Jim Mendrinos who posts here sometimes is playing in the Village Thursday night at the Tribecca Comedy Basement. Any NYC RP board members wanna meet me there for a drink and to see if this guy's funny?

So did you see Jim? And if so, how was he? Was he a part of a showcase or did he headline? Either way, he gets my respect for going up onstage. Stand up isn't easy. Good comedians just make it look that way.

I did go. He was very funny. The room was nice, and it was a strong show, but you can see when someone is heads above the others.
While not a star, he might be the best comic I've seen in a club. I wanted to like him and I did.
And he was nice to boot!

Thats so cool. Meeting a good comedian who's also a nice guy. Wish I could've been there. I was in NYC 2 months ago and should be back in September. I'll check the board around that time to see if Medrinos goes up again.
