Wonderful life

Why obsess over death when it's inevitable and we have no control over it anyway. Wouldn't it be better to discuss living? Mortality, like it or not, will eventually claim us all. But what makes you want to live? What keeps you going in the midst of pain, adversity and despair? How do you make your time on earth, productive, constructive, worthwhile and beneficial? What makes you happy to be alive?

mojones,
I will say that my children are what makes me happy to be alive. They are my incentive and inspriation for getting up each and everyday.

billyb0y,

I like kids too. But I'd rather put them up for adoption than change a diaper. Eewwwyuck! Does anybody look forward to changing diapers? I knew one guy who said he didn't mind doing it. But he stopped talking to me after I called Social Services on his ass. But I digress.

What makes me want to live? Laughing and making other people laugh. A hearty chuckle is therapeutic. Remember that guy, Norman Cousins? He literally used comedy to heal himself. I know it makes me feel better and I love spreading that joy to others. Too bad I'm not very good at it....
