MC ideas

Hi out there in Pryorland,
I have talked about Mcing before but I really want to know if any of you have any specific ideas on how you MC. Particularly brining people up on stage. My situation is a bit unique. I have to bring up sometimes 16 comics in one night at my room where I run an open mike. I find I start off ok but then I start repeating the phrase, "so put your hands together for...." I really need some other ideas to bring people up. I am between focusing on talking about the comics themselves (those I know well it is easier to be spontaneous) or giving the audience examples for getting excited as they clap (go nuts like you know you are going to get lucky for sure tonight and help me bring up...) ect. Any other phrases or ideas would be greatly apprecited. Thanks in adavnce to all of you great comics out there.
