Kevin Smith Fans?

Is it safe to say Kevin Smith has sold out? I remember When I was in high school me and my friends use to repeat lines from Clerks untill our throats gave out now we cringe every time he's brought up. What happend?

Kevin Smith knows he has sold out,I've heard him say it but I don't think it's to a point where he should lose creditbility.You check out his DVD "An Evening With Kevin Smith" some funny shit.Besides I just read a few days ago on eonline.com that he is doing a sequel to his first movie "Clerks".

Yeah, that DVD is hilarious. Great stuff. Lord, not a sequel to "Clerks" I thought he retired those characters.
"Jersey Girl" must have killed that. That's what he gets for hooking up and trying to capitalize on "Bennifer".
He must be really out of ideas. I hope not.

He writes great dialouge and "Jersey Girl" wasn't really that bad.....if somebody other than Kevin Smith had made it.It was a "real" movie but fuck that I want some Jay and Silent Bob in my flicks!!!!

I'm with you man, Dogma was brilliant and so was Clerks just in different ways. Why does success automatically make you a sellout? I define sellout by someone who compromises their values and beliefs to make a buck? What has he compromised? He has a bigger budget now but that's all I can gather.

Sorry...but the Jay and Silent Bob movie SUCKED! I didnt even see the ending cause it was so bad. I was disapointed cause I loved those charachters! Clerks and Chasing Amy remains his best yet...I forgave him for appearing in that mess, Daredevil.
