I picked up "Which Way Is Up" from Walmart yesterday. I haven't had a chance to watch it yet! I was thinking about putting together a Richard Pryor film festival. Just me and some friends, some DVD's and drinks and smoke. I was just thinking what are your favorite Richard film moments.

Man hearing all of these different answers reminds of stuff I have not watched in a long time. I am definitely going to set up a Richard Moviefest first with some friends and if I get enough interest maybe it could be a charity event.

1-FAVORITE MOVIE STARRING RICHARD PRYOR: I know that you're referring to his non-concert movies, but fuck it... Nothing showcases his talent better than the one-man "Live In Concert."
2-FAVORITE MOVIE RICHARD PRYOR CO-STARRED OR GUEST STARRED: (YOU KNOW HE STOLE THE SHOW!): "Silver Streak"
3-FAVORITE DRAMATIC ROLE: "Blue Collar"
4-2ND FAVORITE LEADING LADY: (We all know his wife, JENNIFER is # 1!): Lily Tomlin (though that was TV, not the movies)
5-FAVORITE CHARACTER PLAYED BY RICHARD: The old man in "Which Way Is Up?"
6-FAVORITE RICHARD CO-STAR: Don't really have one, though I can't deny that his very best scenes with Gene Wilder in "Silver Streak" and "Stir Crazy" are classics
7-FUNNIEST RICHARD SCENE: It would be between Richard teaching Gene Wilder how to pass for black in "Silver Streak" and Richard confronting his wife about her infidelity in "Which Way Is Up?"
8-FAVORITE MOVIE THAT YOU WERE HYPED TO HAVE RICHARD BUT HE PART WAS VERY BRIEF! (You know when you saw that Richard would be in the movie it made you go see it and then he was only in one scene!) "Wattstax" (actually he's interspered throughout the movie, but appears in it for a grand total of about 10 minutes) and "Car Wash"
9-FUNNIEST RICHARD SAVED HIMSELF FROM GETTING HIS ASS WHIPPED SCENE : (We know that Richard of the master of avoiding danger!?) When he plays dead after the gun fight towards the end of "Silver Streak"
10-FAVORITE TV APPEARANCE (Besides his show!): A tie between his appearances on the Lily Tomlin TV specials (1973), his week-long co-hosting stint on The Mike Douglas Show (1974), and his guest host stint on Saturday Night Live (1975).
11-FAVORITE RICHARD LINE FROM A MOVIE: "That big-nosed, pot-bellied, no-preachin' nigga is the father of our baby???" from "Which Way Is Up?"
12-FAVORITE STAND- UP COMEDY MOVIE/DVD: Unquestionably "Live In Concert," which is actually my favorite Richard flick, period.
