http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtm ... ID=6197950 - House Votes to Block Bush Overtime Regulations'
When I heard that Bush wanted to end overtime I couldn't believe it. I thought it was great! Bush with an actual good plan? Wow! Eliminating mandatory overtime is a great idea, as it would allow people more time to spend with their families and lower unemployment, as more workers would be required to cover the hours not being worked as overtime (the whole reason for workers putting in great amounts of overtime in the first place is to avoid paying benefits to additional workers that really are needed.)
The bubble, of course, burst when I found out that it wasn't the overtime eliminated, but the pay for overtime. Bravo to the House!
