yeah, like I was saying, I'm new here to tha family so show me some luv muthafukkas!

Ironically, I was watching one of Richard Pryor's movie, actually, wacthcing his movie that he wrote, produced and directed, "JoJo Dancer: Your life is calling"...

I was watching that movie as I came across this website..and I am completely amazed at how many fans Richard Pryor has accumulated over the years. Not only those of tha older generation but young people like myself, I'm 22, are big fans of Richard Pryor...

I remember tha first time I saw Richard, I think I was like...between tha age of 13 and 15 and I saw him in tha movie with Gene, "Hear no Evil, See no Evil" which was hilarous. And later..I went out and bought ALL of his standups from "Live and Smokin to Live on Sunset Strip". Richard Pryor is just naturally funny...he don't have to try hard to be funny like some comics try so hard to do today. There will never be ANOTHER Richard Pryor and there will never be anybody like him. Yeah, you have some funny people, Eddie Murphy, Martin Lawrence, Christ Tucker, Chris Rock, Eddie Griffith and some more motherfukkas but NONE and NO ONE will ever come close to be as funny as Richard Pryor.

Richard Pryor IS the King of Comedy and that's tha bottomline...get at your boi...

Wassup Jennifer...how are you?

HaHaMyAss,

I am also new to the boards too. I am a professional actor, writer, director and list Richard as one of my mentors along with Orson Wells, Jackie Gleason, Tom Cruise and Bruce Lee.

Not too many actors, yet alone comedians, can do comedy and DRAMA successfully. Chris Tucker and Chris Rock pulled it off-I'm waiting for Eddie to do the same. I wish he would stop punking out and do something like BLUE COLLAR because I know its in him.

The monologue Rich performed in BLUE COLLAR (well, there were so many good ones) where he tells the taxman about his bills and life is excellent and realistic. I really felt him on that-its as if he almost started to cry when the man left.

Ingenius.
