He shouldn't have....

My dad shouldn't have kicked my ass out of the house, as it looks like I'm moving to Washington State in 10 days. I decided yesterday to go with my roommate. I'm not sure if this should be under "the stupidest thing you've ever done?" post or not. Right now, I'm just happier than I've been in months and things couldn't be greater! I'm excited and I have a purpose.
So, I get to check out the stand up scene down in Seattle, which rox! Because after four months of living here, all I've had the chance to see is Ian Bagg and Angel Salazar. Yay. Hardly a "scene."
I'll be rocking on and rocking out!

billyb0y,
Yeah, I saved it from when they decided to burn this whole damn state down this summer. Have you ever seen the seen blood red in the middle of the cloudless day in the middle of the summer? Just the fact that you could look at it without hurting your eyes should tell you something about the smoke.
And right now, the day/night is pretty equal around here. I guess I'll never experience a day when the sun never comes up....darn. I've seen the northern lights (out last night as a matter of fact), so I figure that's good enough for me. I really don't have to plug your car in so it won't freeze...
I'm gonna be free! Yay!

...or at least till the money runs out...

jane_haze,
No man (or woman) is ever truly free. The best we can be is really cheap.
So when you planin' on escaping?

jane_haze,
I've experienced a day without the sun. It's like any other day. Just alot darker.
Congratulations on starting a new chapter - in a blue state, no less. Very kool. You're gonna make it after a-all.

bingolong,
Thanks. I love you guys!
I'm escaping on the 15th. Hopefully I can get my early voting thing in the mail to vote in alaska early before then--alaska needs more dems votes than WA does. Besides, I want to support the "yes on 2" pro mary jane initiative.
I'm leaving this place on a good note. Tonight I did some awesome stand up. Great crowd, and great reactions. The best so far.
It kinda seems slackerish to quit college, but I don't care. Getting out of misery takes precedence over pre cal...because I haven't done that once already.
You know, I think when I get down there, I'm gonna hit the stand up scene full en. Too many things lately seem to push me in that direction. Not me, necessarily, but people around me--even when that wasn't the case at hand!
So, we'll see what happens. I'm so excited...and scared...but happy!
Jane :p

astonamous,
I'm not crossing out education. There's a few colleges I'm looking at right now. And my favoritest German teacher in the world went to one of them. Alumni recommendations account for something.
Office...well, I guess I do keep up with politics and current affairs more than the average bear.
Oh...I've got my yuppie columbia jacket...just as good as an umbrella.
