**There's a paypal link at the site if you would like to donate to the rescue or the fence fund to keep the rednecks out and away from the dogs....Julia**
Tiko is doing well, hating crate rest, but is eating and drinking and dying to be a puppy again. Cody was found, but ate a bunch of farmer's chickens, so we had to reimburse him for that, but he was grateful and very understanding, knowing who we are, and what we try to do (and that we actually use a fence). Tiko goes back Monday to see if we can salvage his eye. We have raised enough money to pay the first surgery. Nickie is being boarded elsewhere for her safety, and we have a few leads on Leo (the other mal), so we're just waiting to hear back.
Our next big fundraising mission (pending the outcome of Tiko's exam Monday), is to raise the money to fence at least two of the five acres in livestock fencing with hotwire on top to avoid any of these problems and to not give those people a pot to pee in! That way we can tell them where to get off, and they'll have to get shocked to come mess with our babies! So, we're actively looking for a fencer who will A: Take a huge tax write off and fence us for free, or B: Give us a good break and maybe let us make payments as we get donations, contracted, of course. So, that's our plea, or people can donate to the "fence fund" and specify that in their email. To do the whole 5 acres, it was about 3 K! Tell people who have sent money that if they would like a receipt, to please send me their address. Thanks...Geri
These candles will help raise funds for the rescue where dogs got out and were shot. The holidays are coming and you can buy gifts and help the rescue at the same time!..Julia
