Could 86 years of pain come too an end? Could my grandfather see the Sox take it all for the first time in his life? Could the talk of that god for saken curse be put to rest for good?
I sure hope so

Last Weekend: The New England (formerly Boston) Patriots beat the Jets, continuing their record win streak.
Tuesday: The Boston Red Sox win the World Series.
Next Tuesday: Let's add George to the growing number of the ranks of the unemployed.

They did it! They did it! I still can't believe it. I love NY, but this year belongs to Boston! Tough break for St. Louis though. Imagine winning all those games and losing the ones that really mattered.

It was certainly their time. 86 years, WHEW! Imagine if they went another 86 years, it'd be 2090!!! Anyway, between Marlboro lights and President Bush, I'd never catch that game anyway.

dumbass,
I don't know how to explain this....I am happy but not overwhelming so, and this is not a snap....but I was a lot happier when the Sox Beat the Yankees because there is so much painful history there.
Don't get me wrong..... but the only feeling I can muster right now, and this may be due to a lack of sleep, is total satisfaction.
