and

smjmcomic, don't worry about it. A lot of people with rooms have rules about who can and cannot play that really have more to do with how lame the room-haver is than any comedian's quality. Whatever the case, if you want to do it, there's always someplace to comedicize. Was this a room you really wanted to do?

Its not a huge blow but it seemed like it whould have been fun it was kinda like a booked open mic but insted of 5 you get 15 minuets

Don't worry about it. I'm sure even the best (anyone we know?) dealt with rejection at first. Keep on, baby! I'm sure it's kinda like women: some might find you worthy, some might not.
We got a guy at my job who thinks he's funny. Nice guy, but he is a bit on the slow side when it comes to jokes. Even he ripped one on me one day that I had to just congradulate him on. A few of us were talking about fitness (I'm on the "husky" side) and I mentioned I had been trying to get in some crunches. He quipped "Nestle Crunches don't count" So every dog has his day, and every genius has a brain fart.

Yeah man... It's not the end. Life is generally one big disappointment after another but something good always finds it's way in there.
Look at popular artists who sell 2 million copies of their album in the USA and they're considered to have "made it". If there are roughly 280,000,000 people in the States then really only 1 in 140 people like you.
So if you're in a room full of, say, 75 people and 10 out of those 75 liked your act then consider yourself a true super-star.

Yeah... The 30's are our husky years it seems. I'm not too husky but I could toss a few pounds I guess. Always looking ahead, I'd built-up a little Y2K fat just in case I was forced to life off of myself after the bug had done it's damage and I've been looking to loose it ever since.
Nestle Crunches. That's pretty funny. Do they work?
