Everyday People
We ARE everyday people
No matter what games we pull
We always go for what we know
And the system has us about to blow
Fear and terror and war
Lurk behind every door
But who pays for these chores
When half the people are poor?
Even with all the weasels hanging from the steeples
We ARE everyday people
We ARE everyday people
But the King’s coffers are getting full
As we stand in line our faces dull
Empty pockets create quite a pull
So we steal and rob and loot
And the man’s got us by the tooth
Don’t reach for your wallet or he might shoot!
Sadly, friends that’s the truth
Even with all the evil masquerading as legal
