NFL/Desperate Housewives 'Scandal'

I think the NFL/Desperate Housewives 'scandal' is just racism showing it's ugly face. Those complainers just hate seeing a white woman saying she is attracted to a black man. And I don't understand why he apologized. Groupies do exist - and not all men (or women) turn them down. It's a fact of life.

I always wondered if Usher had pulled at Britney Spears top at the Super Bowl halftime, would TPTB call it "Britney Spears Nipplegate" or would it be "That n-word tore off the girl's shirt!" I don't think Britney would have been seen as being the origin of action but a poor innocent little victim of the raping animal Usher. There would calls for a boycott, DJs breaking his CDs while on the air, etc.

jayne,
I agree a little with your stance b/c race definitely has to be a deternining factor. But I don't really think it would have been as big of deal if not for the Janet incident earlier this year.Everything is being blown out of porportion due to that.Check out what they did to "Saving Private Ryan" and anything else deemed to risque. If it was like this 30 years ago on TV we wouldn't have had nothing to watch on TV.This is worse than the beef Richard Pryor had with his show.Think about it that made a little more sense b/c of the timeframe(not really when compared to shows like "All In The Family","Sanford & Son","Maude" and "The Jeffersons")But the point is it would seem like things would be less censored as we became more desensitized to it thru the years......hell I don't know what I am really talking about but I know being P.C. sux!!! b.b
