As i'm an uptight white girl from middle England i have lead a very sheltered life!
Please can someone tell me where "Cracker" comes from?
I know what I am, but no idea why.

I thought it was what black slaves referred to white people because they "cracked" the whip. At least thats what a potentially misinformed college professor told me.
