R P is the best ever

I am a 40 year old white male and I still recall going to the movies to see RICHARD PRYOR in Concert. I had never heard someone speak so offensively, yet be so honest and open about his own fears. I have never laughed as hard as I did while watching RP. Never. I wasn't able to ever see him in the flesh - something I regret. I saw Steve MArtin, Sam Kinnison and many others but I missed RP. I should have skipped "Bobcat" and saw Richard! Anyways, they are all funny guys, but NOTHING like RP. It seriously bums me out that the man is not going to get the STAR treatment he deserves. They should do a 2 hour PRIME TIME special on him on HBO. Have every comic come and pay homage to him. I saw the Comedy Channel one, but I want more Richard. I don't care what Margartet Cho thinks. I want Richard in the audience hearing people tell him how he is the greatest.

I know Richard is in poor health. I wish a Robin Williams or someone with clout and money would do the right thing and honor Richard in a BIG way.

I remember the routine where RP says he tried boxing but his legs wanted to keep going when his head told him to go down. I was in tears over that bit. I carry his double cd (HITS)in my car at all times.

I so very much hope that RP can hear these words and know how sincere I am. I am a fortunate person who has never heard racism from my family. My father told me a long time ago that racists look to hurt others beacuase they don't respect themslves. When I watched RP, I would laugh, but I could sometimes see in his eyes hurt. He is much more intelligent that given credit for. He pointed out reality and spoke of it without fear. Great stuff.

RP. You rule. You will never be forgotten. I hate to say this, but you will probably be more appreciated 100 years from now then you are currently. You will leave a legacy.

Not too bad.

I love you man. I hope you are aware of how fantstic you are and you will never be forgotten.

kneelblender,
Richard is being rememebered everyday in all kinds of ways! I am currently working on many projects that will insure his legacy; so rest assure-Richard is getting the STAR treatment-as you put it.
This site is proof that Richard is alive and being remembered and honored! We don't need or want anything from Robin other than his participation when we do projects such as, "Richard Pryor-"I ain't Dead Yet..."
Didn't you see, 100 Greatest Comics last night-Richard is # 1-he is hardly being forgotten!
Thank you for all your love and devotion and appreciation for Richard

Tha is awesome all the stuff you are doing. I had a very good friend who had MS and it was challenging to say the least. It is a horrible, humbling disease and It is great to know he has support and love.

I just hope that Richard knows that he is well remembered and appreciated.

Richard was # 1 on the Stand ups? What else could he have been?!?
