If you get a chance to see this movie, probably as a result of being kicked out of line to see Star Wars, go see it!!!! An amazing story of race and socio-economic boundaries. Great cast, Don Cheadle, Lorenz Tate, Loretta Devine, Matt Dillon, Thandie Newton, and Even Ludacris delivers a good performance. If you saw Grand Canyon and liked it, you'll love this movie.

Anditsdeeptoo,

Grand Canyon?????? Really? What made you think of that movie?

Personally, Crash is a movie that tells us all how racist we really are. It reminds us that we all have a prejudice bone in ourselves....We don't even know it. To put it mildly, we don't cop up to it....we pretend and we put it off...laugh about it...we crack jokes about our differences and shit like that. This world is living on fear ...of ourselves...no one likes change in this world. ( Don't lie and say you do). This world is changing and it's not just about black and white. It's about all of us....being able to live togeher...with no predudice. White, black, latino, chinese.....Crash is a great movie...just see it for what it is. Don't sugarcoat that shit.

I finally saw "Crash" today and I could see the similiarities from "Grand Canyon" too.Even though it has been a few years the ensemble cast and different situations, and even two guys that work in Hollywood (G.C.'s Steve Martin to Crash's Terrence Howard)

But this movie is alot rawer and just plain good!!I will be buying it on DVD!!!Probably the best movie I have seen this year....hell I sat and watched half of it again I was so into it!!!

First "Million Dollar Baby" now this...writer/director Paul Haggis is the man!!!!!B-)

:) :) :) :) :) out of :) :) :) :) :) motherfuckas go see it before it is wiped out by the summer movies (and then in two months by the DVD!!!!) ;p

Vee,

Admittedly Grand Canyon wasn't a tenth as insightful as this movie, I was merely attempting to draw a similar connect for those who had no idea what kind of movie this is.

Bingolong,

It was an amazing story and a sad commentary on what exactly we all think of each other. b.b

Anditsdeeptoo,
...not only each other but ourselves. Look at really all the story arcs in the movie and you see that alot of the characters had to reevaluate themselves too....I could really sit and watch that movie back to back b/c it is so good!!!

I saw this film when it first came out; can't wait to grab it on DVD. I loved the ensemble cast; kind of dark film and can see this film being played out in real life.
