That is likely incorrect. On imdb, his date of birth is 1908. 97 ain't bad neither!

Today is also the opening day for the remake of [/i]The Longest Yard.[/i] I have no plan of seeing it either, but I'm not going to go to the extreme Mr. Albert did...

Yes he was 99 ,it seems his mother was not wed at the time of his birth (1906) and changed the date on his birth certificate when she did get married 2 years later..

Musta been hard having to fight for dressing room space with Arnold Ziffel

Wow for awhile it was him and Buddy Ebsen (Jed Clampett from Beverly Hillbillies another "rural" sitcom)still holding on.....and I didn't know he suffered from Alzheimer's disease.. b.b
