I seem to like movies nobody else can stand. I want to mention a few of my favorites of the more recent and see what comes back!

jackie brown - love the soundtrack
Secretary
lost in translation
bringing out the dead
corrina,corrina

can't think of more when I'm on the spot. I'll add some. But recommend some offbeat stuff!

astonamous,

more movies (I haven't seen any that are currently in theatre)
Das Boot
Dr. Strangelove

The idea of Tarnished Angel being a movie is good! Who would play Jennifer?

JTF,

ONe of the worst I've seen was a 70s movie on HBO the other day. The Switchblade Sisters - it just sounds classy, doesn't it.

I'm trying to think of ones I like other people don't. How about Punch-Drunk Love. I love it! The song always sticks in my head - it's the song Olive Oyl sang in Robin Williams' Popeye movie.

sahnja,
Kill Bill is great and Jackie Brown and the soundtrack is right lovely. I'll name shitty movies that suck that I like. The one that comes to mind is "North" with elijah wood and bruce willis. nobiody likes it and nobodys seen it most likely. sorry I hated secretary though.

Quentin's movies have the same sort of flavor but I enjoy them.

secretary had kind of the same message as punch drunk love - love comes in all sorts of shapes, sizes and forms. maybe it's more of a chick thing too but the only guy i personally know to have watched it, liked it.

I love Jackie Brown. I also think Reservoir Dogs is rad. If we're talking 70 schlock stuff, I must say I have a lot of love in my heart for Rudy Ray Moore's small franchise of ridiculous and rad movies, especially Dolemite. I also think Pee Wee's Big Adventure is great, and love a lot of John Woo's Hong Kong movies, like Bullet In The Head and The Killer.
I also thought Jesus' Son was a pretty beautiful movie, with an awesome performance by Billy Crudup. Russ Meyer also has some real classics.

Jennifer,

I'm so glad you like to watch Sam Jackson. I was gonna ask you and Mr. P. to please consider him to play Mr. Pryor in Mr. Pryor's movie--seriously!

I even wrote you guys this long ass e-mail entitled "Samuel L. Will Do You Justice." where I listed all the reasons why he'd be best for the part but I never sent it b/c well I've never acted, never made a movie and just don't know shit about the business

I'm just a huge fan of both men and as a fan of both, I can't think of anyone who'd take the role of Mr. P. more seriously than Samuel L.! Plus they've both battled many of the same demons in their personal lives so I know he could bring all of Mr. Pryor's pain to the screen with DIGINITY and make us the viewer understand it in away that no other actor could ):)

OK I'm gonna stop. I don't want to make a fool out of myself 8-O As I said earlier, I know nothing about acting, making a movie etc.
