yesterday's oprah show on poverty in the U.S.

made me wonder why on earth are we making things better for the people of Iraq when we've got people fighting in Iraq for the U.S. who came from the same impoverished areas featured on Oprah, and will return to it if they make it back.

hard to justify spending billions in Iraq when people here are living worse than the Iraqis that I didn't hear once cry for "freedom" and help from us. and for any Iraqis who desired freedom so much, they moved here a long time ago and opened their own business here to send money back to others in Iraq who chose to stay, while not crying for freedom.

I found it hard to believe that an entire area just outside Chicago is w/out a zip code which prevents basic services like water, garbage collection and more in 2005. and as soon as a job is obtained, taxes will be deducted from their checks to pay for the war in Iraq.

once again, if you invest in your own and build your own resources, we would haven't to invade another country for financial gain. perfect example: China.

no one is even monitoring our investment world which has AMPLE billions to invest in new businesses. this group is selectively picking the same types of persons to invest with over and over (usually a friend of a friend), and investing with federally backed money.

there's someone right here in THIS country w/an idea or great invention to financially benefit all, as well as employ and use our resources in impoverished areas instead of outsourcing to other countries.

but our leaders are too busy spending money in other countries looking for "wealth and freedom" which we're told will benefit us all, similar to the speeches given by British slave traders a couple of generations ago. 8-o

Trudy,
when middle class folks struggling see how well things are going for the Iraqis and an elite few in the U.S. in a few years from now, they'll either pack up and move or raise hell here.

deepseas,
yeah I found it hard to believe after losing all I worked for the past 22 years for to fraud that my own rich family members would stand by and give some of the most wacked and insensitve advice. I even had a win-win situation to get immediately back on my feet that was screwed over by family. so I know the hell people w/out any help are going through.

the funniest thing I heard was because I was single it should be easier for me. apparently money falls out the sky for single people. and funny, I was the person several with kids and 2 household incomes would come to for financial help and I freely gave as hoarding money was not as important as helping others.

I'm fortunate to have a roof over my head and can now eat regularly, but no thanks to the "upper class" I know and those I helped repeatedly. it's sad, but also a sign of the times we live in.

ironically, all my family and friends, except the richest and most materialistic one, lost everything in New Orleans from Katrina. but they still have their money and will just start over immediately, including with help from the government.

deepseas,
some people actually feel safer on the streets than in the shelters, unless it's freezing cold or other bad weather. at shelters, there are restrictions and limitations as to when a person can enter and leave. I tried to bring food/clothes to someone at a shelter a few years ago, it wasn't allowed. times were set for visitors, and for the last time they could exit the building or be locked out for the night.

crazy huh? like rules in hell?

Jack of All Trades,
OMG the Moron of all Morons is back. I just saw this message. after I stopped laughing, I decided to post just so this topic wouldn't end w/his negative thoughts.

dude you seriously need Jesus, Moses, Solomon, AquaMan, Wonder Woman, Underdog, Spider Man, Captain Crunch, Captain Kangaroo, Mr. Rogers, and a belt to your ass to save you quickly. maybe even the devil can help you focus, so that you at least pick a functioning side.

please get some help. it's not too late. YES, you too can be a functioning social member of society instead of a delusional, paranoid schizophrenic homicidal maniac to be. b.b remember, somebody loves ya, just not me, mofo. now runnnnnn to help, get it nowwwwwwwww...... hell, call dial-a-porn, somebody, quick. just get it.

deepseas,
most definitely your family is your family. either they can make you or break you, or you can take the experiences and grow from them. but I've been on my own since I was 19. so I know what you mean about doing it on your own. that's what makes the losses so heartbreaking, that I accomplished it honestly only to see a dishonest and unmonitored area just rip it all apart, and get away with it.

but as they say, things happen for a reason. it must have been meant for me to see people like this and billions being wasted while people are starving right in our own country. and can you believe these same twisted federally backed fucks (ex-squeeze my f'g french! ;p) are LOOKING for new people to invest millions in. WTF????!!! maybe I should start posting the investment invites here too. the more people who know what they're up to, the more the funds will be diversified. there's probably a family barely making it w/someone w/a great idea to invest in.

I just hope that after all these disasters, which I have a strong feeling there are many more to come, that we start to realize what's more important: money or human lives.

deepseas,

can't take all the credit, Moron of all Morons makes it too easy

chile the DEVIL will be ready. but that's a good idea about being ready to leave quickly. I'm rarely in a complete outfit around the house. I need to have a plan, seriously as in now. w/so much going on these days, you just never know. and I love me some water. but seriously need to plan for more.

and then I have a cat, so I really better be prepared. then again, she would leave me and give me a look like "hey, if you don't see me running that's yo azz". she always does that, hears a noise or something weird and just leaves. then I had a cat who'd always disappear right before an earthquake. he could have left a note or something. ;p so I guess my plan is to follow the cat. :)

deepseas,
wow, that's deep, water w/a plastic bag. that's definitely some MacGyver stuff to know. but yeah I better get serious given FEMA is not an option anymore, yanno.

lots of folks are buying up guns like crazy. I wonder if they know something is up? *scratching head* are they planning on shooting people to eat? who knows? I think after the convention center disaster, people are getting ready for anything.
