I am very fond of black stand up comedians who are politically engaged and not afraid to point racial issues worlwide.

I already have some great stuff from Dave Chappelle, Eddie Murphy, Bill Cosby, Chris Rock and (of course) Richard himself, the godfather of black comedy.

Could someone gimme some pointers on more good black humorists I could be introduced to, maybe a little less mainstream than the ones I listed?

Gourdz, I hope you look at Bill Cosby and Redd Foxx, as well as Whoopi Goldberg, Flip Wilson, Wanda Sykes, David Allen Grier, the Wayans Bros., George Wallace, my friend the hilarious Darryl Lenox, the grandfather of American black humour Langston Hughes, and the great-grandfather of American black humour, Uncle Remus.

There are so many more... try this book for further reference...

Crazy I tend to judge comic on there jokes and not there skin color but hear thats just me.
