Eddie Murphy: Funniest Man Ever!

We all know Eddie had talent. On SNL he showed this talent quite well in skits such as [/i]Velvet Jones[/i] and many others in a very entertaining maner. His stand-up was funny too, even if it did borrow heavily from somebody else who we all know and love here...
Eddie however has done something that no other comedian has ever done before. No longer is Eddie just a comedian. No longer is Eddie just an actor. (It could be said that he is no longer a good comedian, nor a good actor, but these have already been covered in another discussion.) What I find unique is that Eddie Murphy has in fact, trancended mere comedy and become a joke in of himself!
Once, you could mention the name Eddie Murphy and generally get a reaction from people of "Eddie is funny!" Now, you just mention the name and the name itself can elicit laughter! In fact, the films may not be worth watching anymore, but you'll watch Charlie Murphy talk about his brother and get a good laugh. Hell, even all of Eddie's stand-up routines are new again! [/i]"I can tell when the faggots are looking at me because my ass heats up!"[/i] I bet it does Eddie. I bet it does...
