Hey ya'll,
I appreciate the posts on being positive and strong. I appreciate those of you who are injecting humor and trying to ease away the pain.
But I am still crying. I am crying so hard, I am choking on tears sometimes. I know TMIC would say "Girrllll, what U cryin' 'bout? I ain't dead yest, muthafucka!".
But I am still crying. I am crying for the world as it will be a sad place without Richard physically here anymore.
I am crying for Jennifer because I wish to ease some of the pain and remove any burdens from her.
I cry for Richard children for they won't see their Daddy in the physical form anymore.
I cry for all those who have MS and hope to God that they find a cure.
I cry because...well Richard was like a brother, and uncle to all of us. I feel hollow inside, like the day they told the world that Tupac was gone, or when Elvis layed down.
All the crying in the world is not gouing to bring The Man In Charge back. I know this.
But I am still crying.
One this that make me feel a little better is that I know that Richard is in Paradise. Muslims refer to Heaven as Paradise. I know he has been reunited with his beloved Grand Mother. Oh what a joy it was for him to gaze upon her beautiful face once more.
I also kmow that his body has a heavenly form now, one where MS does not abide. He his tall, dark and so handsome in his heavenly robes.
So my tears are of sorrow, for the world's loss, for Jennifer's loss. They are also tears of joys, for our Dear Richard has gone on to his heavenly reward and that, is nothing to be sad about.
My heart is so full and heavy right now.
All I can say is that I am so very gald I had an opportunity to join this site in time to be a part of his site and life, if only for a litlle while.
I love you Richard. I will never forget you and will always honor you for the strong and awesome BLACK man that you are.
One Love & Still crying,
Big T

Murphdogg,
But we DID know him.
That is what they do not undestand.
This site, I feel his spirit, his presence.
& you know what! You are right, I really do not think he appreciates me puring out that liqour, but it is a hood thing, so I believe in myheart he understood.
My spelling and shit is really bad, as I can not see to clearly through all of the tears.
I know people think I am crazy for crying so much, as I really never met TMIC. But through years of being a loyal fan and this site, I feel awesomely priviledged - to be a member of this site and to have had an opportunity to express my love and support for both he and Jennifer here.
I gotta go now, as I am having another crying jag.
Peace Out Homey,
Big T

Murphdogg & tis2fly,
I was talking to JTF and he was saying to someone he "lost a friend" and I think by being on this site like we have we realy have...think about I swing thru at least once a day on GP...the forums are my homepage!! He replied to our messages and even wished some us a Happy birthday!!
More than any other celebrity he already had an impact on the person I was and the art I created before I found this site....but to come here and actually be able to spend nearly two years getting in contact with someone like that will be something I will always cherish.
I have been slightly getting the business from people but I have been getting so much more love from others....I received phone calls from as far as Germany...emails from as far as England...cards of sympathy from friends.....and all I did was come hang out at Richard's(cyber) home! But as I posted somewhere else that it is the power of Richard Pryor!!

Its a relief for our friend Richard... he was suffering on this planet and still cracked a smile.... a true inspiration to anyone who thinks they got it hard... I'd just started reading his book when I heard the news on that day too... Its one of them moments you know your gonna remember forever... I hope the afterlife works out well for him...you... Richard Pryor... Dead now muthafucka!
R.I.P .... Love you man... we all do. see you when we get there.

Iconic status occurs when and individual changes the very fabric of society. Last Saturday, an American legend passed away, Richard Pryor. Although those who knew little about him dismissed him simply as a vulgar comic who caused his own ruin through drug usage, his social impact will always be felt. More than just a comic, Richard Pryor was a social satyrist who magnified his own pain to teach us all about humanity. Whether discussing the taboo issues of race, sex, or the cultural heirarchy, exposing his own fears and criticizing his own foibles, or simply making us laugh at a pussy joke, Mr Pryor spoke to the inner depths of our collective psyche. Richard was a reflection of the world, and a philosopher of the human condition. The strength he drew through the humorous observations of his own pain was inspirational to those who listened to him and we are better for having his brilliance blessed upon our world. The greatest storyteller of our age, the most honest and poignant mind of the 20th century. More than a comic, more than a man, a legend. I will miss you Richard, your impact on me is more than words can express, thank god you are now free. God bless you and your family. I speak for all of your fans and admirerers when I say, we love you.

Murphdogg,
You too? They said the same thing to me. By "they," I'm referring to non-comedians -- civlians. Anyone whoever took to the stage, however, know exactly how I feel. Pour out a little liquor for RP, I'm ready to set fire to the vineyard!
Here's RP's last diary entry: "Jenny says nothing kills me!
Not drugs, not the fire, not the heart attacks and not even her! She says I'm gonna outlive everybody!!
Happy fuckin birthday to me!!"
I take solace in knowing that Jenny is right. Long after everyone else is dead and gone, Richard Pryor's legacy will live on! He's a part of history. And all of us were fortunate enough to give witness to his brilliance.
