Hi, I think it was 2002 when it aired in England. It was a 3 part special on the Kings Of Black Comedy. The first one was dedicated to Sammy davis Junior and there was a clip of Richard hosting a celebration for Sammy. The 2nd one was about the great man himself, Richard, had a lot of cats on there, from Jim Brown, Whoopi, Mooney, Joan Rivers. It was a bit more psychoanalytical about Richards life etc. Even Joan Rvers said Richard was the comedian she was most in awe of and that no one could touch him.

Just wonder if anyone else saw it.

The 3rd part was a bunch of later comedians, Eddie, Whoopi, Chris Rock, Bernie Mac etc./ Was a pretty good show, Richards was the best though. Had some great footage of him in the 60's doing Merv Griffin etc.

Mudbone4Life.,

Yeah that was deep, they went back to the barbershops in peoria and spoke to some of his old friends. The bit that really struck me was when they played some old recording that he made just after he quit performing his "Bill Cosby" act. It wasn't in front of a crowd, it was just richard alone in a room. He sounded like a man tortured by demons!!
Chilling stuff!!

Peace gee
