bcddjjsc690,

Dude, I heard this one on the news and I was like...........IDIOTS!

What is the world coming to??????
All of this computerized shit - that is what is the problem. Some freaking formula in the program - some calculation that looks like this:

XXX.XXX vlookup (bill5)>.01cents=SHUT THE FUCKING LIGHTS OFF RIGHT NOW!

Then CLICK - your lights are off -and nobody even came out to your house. The part that kills me that is in a BLINK of the eye, your electic is shut OFF - with the click of a switch....BUT it takes two and three days for them to COME OUT TO YOUR HOUSE to reconnect your shit! I do not understand that one.

That is a bunch of bullshit.

How do I know this???? I am not EVEN trying to floss. Back in the day - when I was much younger, with a little kid, in college - barely making it.......my lights, gas, phone and a whole bunch of other shit got cut off at one time or the other. SO I KNOW WHAT IT IS LIKE. I keeps it real - I do not have to front. I am doing good now, but it was not always this way. I could have asked my parents for help - but that is not me. I suffered through it. Taught me that life is FOR REAL and if you want to have electricity - you have to PAY for it! IF the bill say $25.53...you had better pay $23.53 - ON TIME. & that is real.

tis2flyyy,
I know what you mean , I've had my shit turned off at one time or another, one time in Ct , they cut my electricity off the same day they CASHED MY CHECK !!! ,(pd in full )
I called the company and asked "Why did you cut off my service ,you cashed my check today " They said I didn't call them !! . Then when they arranged to get it turned back on by 5pm , they didn't inform me I would have to go down to the junction box , of the building and throw the breaker. I called again , they said " they have to do it as a safety measure , if case anything was on in the condo they would be liable ," So they got there by 5, turned on my power, and left, But didn't inform me as to how to get my service back on . I worked at a company that manufactured electrical components at the time, and my good friend Kevin, who was a test technitian was with me at my condo .After finding this out, wouldn't you know we were in the middle of thunderstorm ,which caused us to wait it out before going outside to mess with the junction box. When we finally got a break in the storm , we went outside to the juction box on the corner of the building .
It wasnt' properly labeled inside, and we weren't exactly sure which switch was for my condo in the building ,So Kevin had a good guess and says " Well ,we're either going to turn your power on , Or everyone else's OFF !!!
He got it right the first shot . B-)

bcddjjsc690,

Yep, I know what you mean!!!

One time, my gas was turned off like two years ago - wasn't because I did not have any money - I forgot!!! Too much bullshit was going on in my life at the time - but that is another story at another time.

So, I am wondering, why is my hot water only luke warm. I called the gas company to come and look at my water tank. They told me, it is no problem with the tank - your gas is off. I was like WHAT!!!!! How much do I owe and when can I get it back on??? They said $18.42. I am like WHAT!!!!! What the freak is actually going on up in here????? You shut my gas off for less that $20???????

Man, I cussed that lady out so bad - she got her supervisor on the phone, I cussed him out too. I called bill matrix, did the electronic payment thing, called them people back and told them I had a gas leak. They came to my house in the next half hour. Told me is was no leak, the gas was off, but they had cut it back on.

Yeah, I lied - but it got my gas cut back on in less than an hour!!!! ;) ONE FOR THE GOOD GUYS!

Now, I have ALL my bills hooked up for auto-pay. As long as I have money in the bank, everything, should be ok. Damn that coming home and having to take a cold shower. Thank God it is always warm in Cali & I have an electric stove - or I would have really been tripping!

bcddjjsc690,
this guy got his electric cut off and decide fuck them he'd make a big connector out of metal and turn it on himself, the thing he made looked kind of like a big staple...so he put on his rubber fishing boots some gloves and got his biggest pair of pliers and pulled the meter off the side of his house then stuck this thing he made into the socket where the meter plugs in. The guy said everything was going alright for awhile and I know nothing about electricity but I heard his belt buckle must have been the ground for the connection with his meter bypass thingy...he had burns all the way up his arm but his right armpit was mush then his right side/chest was burned pretty bad and then more mush down by the belt buckle area, we had to do dressing changes on him every four hours and it took at least three and a half hours to change the dressing so everytime you changed it there was time for one cigarette and then it was time to change it again...that poor motherfucker was in agony but he took it well, hell of a nice guy...not very bright though...lived in one of those Carolina states.

I forgot, he was wearing a necklace with something on it that was probably the ground that caused his armpit to blow up and he had a burn around his neck too.

bcddjjsc690,
my fault, I screwed up because the electric company had taken his meter so he couldn't turn it back on...same shit with payment issues and such, he said he couldn't afford to pay the bill but couldn't afford to let all his food spoil either so he got a idea and it fucked him up. It's best to take a meter off of a house thats for sale and then put it back when your done.

hellifiknow,

well it's too bad he he didn't run his idea by a friend before he attempted suicide , maybe they could have reasoned with him , or told him DRY ICE can assist in food preservation :D

Appaloosa,
ok heres what we do...tell your brother the electricity got shut off and give him a big pair of pliers and a piece of metal shaped kind of like a staple and point him towards the meter box...sorry, not cool...your mom is like my grandma and I suggested leaving a dish towel on the stove when my cousin lived in her basement but she wouldn't let me. It's guys like your brother and my cousin that make guys like us look bad because they get all the attention for being the reason our moms are so good. the bastards.
