Has anybody clocked Ice Cube's new album? I've been listening to it for about a month now. I'm a HUGE cube fan so I admit that I'm biased. I don't know if he'll ever recapture the early "mad at the world" days, but this album is a return to form. The lead song "laugh now, cry later" is my fave so far.

Death Certificate is a bonafide classic, they don't make Hip Hop albums like that anymore!! But his latest effort is still worth checking out... Cube can still spit venom when he wants to!

Best believe, Big T is steady Mobbing, with ICE CUBE and BLACK FOLKS- NATTY STRONG banging in my speakers and 7 Years 6 Months playing on the DVD in the SUV.

Ever since you told me about your crazy ex-boyfriend, you made the top of the list, (somebody needs to love us "warped-but-sincere" folks!

Yeah, I've always admired Cube as an intelligent brother, based on the decisions that he made. He went from rapper to producer to actor to video producer to film producer to TV producer. And within all of these fields he's created some classic material.

Haters will point to some of his weaker songs and mediocre films. But if you look and scan the best of his back catalogue, you'll see that he's been holding his own for years!

On the new album he sums it up in one line:
"All you rappers who say I went Hollywood? I'm a gangsta, so I KNOW when I got it good!" :lol::lol:

I also noticed he distributed this album himself through his own label. Which means he gets all the loot! That's what I'm talkin 'bout!

That's why I'm urging all my people to go out and BUY the album. Priority Records made a gangload of money off Cube's back throughout the years. I think that's what made him take his time about releasing another album (it's been 6 years since the last one). That's why I've always liked Cube, because he has made some very intelligent decisions in the entertainment game and creating his own label to bring out his own album is just another one of them.

But as you say, it's good to hear some bangin' Hip Hop from one of it's most prolific artists. And what I love is that there are no R&B joints on the CD, just beats and rhymes for your mind one time!!!
