'I See Black People'?

In the Richard Pryor special, rap artist Mos Def recited a poem titled "I See Black People." Does anybody know who wrote it, Mos Def or Richard?

It was from an entry in RP's journal from back in the day.
Mos Def did an excellent job reciting it though
The [/i]I Ain't Dead Yet [/i] special will be released on DVD later this year and will include that segment among many others we didn't get to see
