The only problem I have with the argument of applying the Geneva convention standards is that the terrorists don't give a damn about the Geneva convention. But I think that in all but the most extreme conditions we should, as we must take the high road. Our hands may be tied, and theirs may be ready to slit our throats at any point, but we need to maintain our composure to avoid dropping to their level.

That said, Bush's administration is going about fighting terrorism all wrong. Intelligence defeats terrorists. Find out who they are. Blow them the fuck off the planet. Enjoy a bagel with apple butter spread and a cup of good coffee!

I am still astonished; a fucking blow-job that Clinton lied about got him impeached(technically impeached!).
And by the way, it's traditional to lie about blow-jobs ins't it, especially if you're married! ANd I want a president who has an orgasm every now and then-maybe he won't be so quick to put his finger on the wrong button!
But this no sexhaving motherfucker, lies about wmd's, uraniaum, trashes the UN,(now he needs them), all kinds of Geneva Convention violations, young men and women coming home amputee's or in coffins and he isn't impeached! WHAT THE FUCK?????

Rape, toruture and murder is now all being investigated. How would we feel if someone came over here to "liberate us" and this happened?LOrd-insanity-sheer-insanity and now we're setting the coutnry up for a civil war-Shiites, Sunies, Kurds. But apparently there is another tyrptic in trouble,the pres, the defense dept and the guy running the entire show in Irag(Blackwell/Blackmer-somehitng like this) all fighting about how the "transition" is going to go down! It's a goddamn mess and Bush doesn't just deserve to be not re-elected he deserves to be impeached!

Makes you wonder what would have happened if DOle had been elected in '96. Clinton would have gone down as a great one term prez who may have got re-elected in 2000. Baby Bush would never have been heard of. Dole would have popped a couple of blue pills and had his fun. We wouldn't be having any discussions about how the nation is falling apart.

I have had the same ideas about if Reagan had beaten Ford for the nomination in '76. He might have beaten Jimmy, then had all the shit from the 70's dump on him and he would have been out in '80. The scary thing about that is that the 1980 prez might have been Ted Kennedy... Hopefully Mondale would have got it though...

I know. Just think if Roosevelt had won in '12! We might have a three party system today! Ir if Eugene Debs had won a few years earlier! What about Wendel Wilkie in '40?
