Furious D says his

Hello gang,
My name is Eric D (aka “Furious D”), and although I’ve never posted a word here, I’ve been a member for a little while. See, I’m pretty young and I’m really just starting to get into Richard, so I’m probably pretty ignorant compared to some of you. Also, I’m not a comic, just a fan of comedy (and who isn’t?). I haven’t posted because I was afraid I’d say something stupid by accident and then you’d all tear me a new one. But, after reading some of the posts on this board (especially THIS section), I realized no matter what I say, it won’t be as bad as some of the dumb ass motherfuckers around here! I loved that thread from the guy who wanted to send the artwork!
But, I figured it was rude to be a member and not introduce myself. So, as I said my real name is Eric. I work at a day program providing direct care for handicapped adults, but at night, I’ve been know to do some acting. Actually, that’s what I went to school for, but then my mom got real sick and my dreams got all side tracked…you know how it goes. Anyway, I’ve made my return to theater after taking 3 years off and just started doing it professionally this year.
In addition to being a comedy fan, I also enjoy collecting autographs (sounds kinda lame, I know, but try it, it‘s fun!), old horror films, boxing (I consider Muhammad Ali to be a personal hero of mine), and working with digital media (which I have a growing side business in).
I’ve been a fan of stand-up since I was a kid…but we never had any Richard in the house…we were a George Carlin household. My brother and I are HUGE Carlin fans (though his newer stuff doesn’t do it for me as much. And, we had fukin’ Leary who I enjoyed very much….until I heard Bill’s stuff! We had Eddie (I know, I know), some Steve Martin, Bill Cosby, Robin Williams, even (gasp!) Gallagher…but no Richard! See, I only had access to what my older brother had…and even some of that (carlin, leary, ect.) was forbidden by mom (like that would stop us
). For whatever reason, he just never got into Richard so neither did I.
Don’t worry though. I’m making up for all of it now.I've seen alll the videos...even bought the Pryor Show DVD's. I'm reading the book right now. Jenny, I'll ordering your books soon, my dear. Money is a bit tight right now though. Richard, you truly are THE MAN. And Jenny, you are so great for holding this site together. These boards are such a great way for us fans to communicate with each other and you and Richard and it shows you both care. How many other celebs do this for there fans? And Richard is MORE than a celeb. It amazes me, man!
In closing, remember, I may not post much, but I’m always reading. Oh, and please feel free to check out my website to learn more about me and see how handsome I am (www.ericonline.com). I’m just starting to give it a make over and I haven’t officially re-launched it yet, but you guys can have first peek.
Your pal,
Eric (ps: I know my involvement in theater might lead you to beleive I am gay, but ask your momma...she'll tell you I loves the pussy!
)
