Visitor,

I thought I'd share a sweet Christmas story...

My daughter had just turned 5 and threw a gigantic fit right before Christmas. It was like December 23rd and her mother called me to take care of it. I picked up my daughter and had a little talk about her behavior and how I didn't approve, and then threw in that I couldn't understand why she would risk her Christmas like that. She had actually never heard what bad kids get from Santa!

When I expleined that bad kids get coal she had no clue what coal was. I explined how it was like the charcoal that you use in a grill. She didn't believe me, figuring I was trying to teach her a lesson. She seemed to not care at all about the possibility of getting lumps of coal for Christmas, as to her this was just daddy telling her something to mess with her.

That's when I said to this guy in front of us in line "Say buddy, my kid doesn't believe me when I tell her what Santa brings bad kids..." He looked right at her and said "Coal. Ruined my whole Christmas one year." then gave me a knowing wink as I see my kid completely lose her composure. She had the look of a child who just pissed off Santa and screwed up Christmas. The tears then started to flow...

It was beautiful!
