As for why he doesn't get called N-, Socailly America is possibly the most fucked up, and the most beautiful place on earth. Part of what makes it the most fucked up place is the usage of the word in question here. It has been one of the most hateful and hurtful words ever spoken. It has also become one of the mose revered words by those whom it has been most used as a means of insult. While it is understandable to turn a word around and use it to one's advantage in order to soften the harsh sting, it is truly sad how overused the word is.

Would anybody ever say that MLK was hangin' with his niggas when they shot him? I am quite sure that Frederick Douglas never looked at another black man and said "What up nigga?" What would have been the reaction of Malcolm if asked the same question?
