Yeah I forgot about Pam Grier and Don Cheadle shows love. Everyone's too busy here emulating everyone else instead of trying to create their own distinct culture. Then they get mad at us for not playing their music. Well of course not, the shit all sounds like laffy taffy...

I had some friends lived in Aurora and we used to go to a biker strip club somewhere near Boulder, the girls were pretty friendly as long as you had a dollar...most those stuck ups worked their way through college being dancers and whores so don't let them give you any shit because thats my money their spending.
Denver aint so bad and I got to say thanks to the people of Aspen for the rocky mountain high someone sent me.

yeah Chauncey Billups is the only person I knew was from Denver, and Pam Greer. I don't know if it's a matter of pride or people just thinking what are they repping for, the city isn't known for anything...I am from CHI-town my fam from the islands...either place is cool. We have something no one else has. If Denver blew up for something people would rep their city.... It's just not distinct yet.
It's not all its cracked up to be to be from a big place. People generalize you and put you in a box, like you gotta be ghetto etc if you are from a certain place. I graduated for Northwestern cum laude and everyone assumes I am a hood from Cabrini Green

Honestly the biggest problem with people not only the girls, here in Denver is that nobody is proud to be from here. (Yeah, yeah, I know why should they be? hahaha) But everyone pretends like they're from LA or Atlanta or NY. The only ones that represent for us are Chauncey Billups and Phillip Bailey. You won't see India Arie shouting Denver from the mountain tops even thought that's where she's from. Remember that DJ Quik song "Just Like Compton" there's a line where he says "Denver, they want to be like Compton... fools." That shit is so true. I can't wait to get out of here and move on to a city with less of an inferiority complex.

Oh fo sho. I am a sucker for country girls so Texas is a mainstay on my travel itinerary. LA girls are all fake,models and actresses. Ny chicks are angry, so I am interested to see if the Denver chicks are cool. Chi girls are groupies or ghetto so...you know.

This station has been here 7 years. You need to holler at me if you ever come back here, I'll have to show you the truth. I'm not saying we're in the same league as Atlanta or Dallas, or even the Chi, but this definitely isn't the white bred cowtown you probably think it is. That's just everywhere in the state surrounding Denver lol...

what kind of stations do they have there? Mind you this was 9 years ago. I did come down to Denver for a few days though. My cousin used to live in Arora. I don't remember bumping a hot station like in dallas or Atlanta
