bcddjjsc690,

Yep, its causing post traumatic stress disorder...basically the same thing G.I.s get. Seeing something that causes a person to remember/re-live an event causes recurrence of the physical pain and mental stress/anguish due to living the event over and over in your mind. basically a flash back of physical and psychological symptoms caused by memory. I get it when I have to go out to the hospital I was in after my accident and talk about it.

I wanted to sue them for mental anguish because they dug that danm "all by myself" song up for their passat commercial, I could have went the rest of my life without hearing that one again.

astonamous,

I want to party with you.

Theres a 65 mph four lane divided highway going through a business area of grocery and fast food places in Alice TX, I was stopped at the intersection in the center lane watching this old lady cross the highway in front of me and figuring I was going to sit through at least one green light before she got across, she walked very slowly with a bad stoop and as she crossed in front of me she looked me right in the eye and smiled this toothless smile, I gave her one back and waved...I thought about standing on the horn just out of onry but didn't. The lady got close to being past the truck and I looked up at the light and it was still green looked back at the lady just as she stepped past my truck and near the dividing line and out of the corner of my eye I saw a truck coming in the right lane which was hauling ass, I knew the way the lady was stooped over hunched up walking he couldn't see her coming from in front of mine and there was no way she could see the truck coming that was about to hit her and I had a front row seat. It's amazing how fast you can pray sometimes aint it? Thank God for no more than one inch and not making me have to see something like that. I don't think the guy ever saw her...she did kind of spring back a little when the front tire went by under her nose and boy did she give that guy hell, scared the shit out of me.

Alice has a street named "Stonehinges" I've looked and can't find nothing. Love to see Cheech and Chong do a Stonehenge scit...I just hear it in cheeches voice..."yeah, we're going to Stonehinges man".

Visitor,
Ok, I can dig "the in the car-getting it on thing", but damn on I-95! Ya'll had a deathwish for sure! I am from around that way (PG County, MD)! But what is really important & really fabulous of you and your hubby is that you all saved that little dog!

What became of him (the dog)? Do you all still have him? Good looking out for his little self, you know if he could talk, he would say "Thank you!"

:)

astonamous,

We were heading north on I-95 somewhere in Virginia on our way home to Maryland. It was raining like a motherfucker and very late at night. As usual, I got to messing around and one thing led to another, let's just say that if you saw the movie "Crash" you might have an idea of the activity we was engaged in. I know, very dangerous. I read “The World According to Garp”. It was raining so hard that eventually we do have to pull off the road. So, we are at this intersection with a traffic light, waiting to turn, and this little wet dog is standing out almost right in the middle of the intersection. My husband said, “Hey, we gotta get that dog outta there”. I look up; to see what the fuck he's talking about because the dog was already out so to speak. The dog he was talking about was a cute little dog, and it was raining so hard, we just had to pick him up beore he got hit. No time to reassemble myself. The light turned green and we drove through the intersection to where the dog was, I opened the door and picked him up, and drove off. The poor thing was just shaking from either fear or being cold and wet. Having a little smelly wet dog in the car sort of put the flames out on our previous activity so we headed home.

bcddjjsc690,
Yeah man, that happened to me...coming home one night from Magic Johnson's Friday's - hangout for all of the cool peeps on a balmy Friday evening. So, I had something to drink (well a whole lot of someting to drink) and we are on the way home. My friend, she drove due to I was planning on getting my drink on. Well, we are on the street and we are just travelling in thru traffic, when dude in front of us, speeds up - cuts sharply to the right, and crashes into a telephone pole! We thought he was drunk. We dial 911, went to see if he was dead or hurt real bad, because the car was a mess. Come to find out, he had a heart attack while driving the car. He was alive when he left the scene. After that, I do not know. I sure that he made it ok.

bcddjjsc690,

No helmet, huh?

Well that explains a lot!

I was actually in one of those "near accidents." I was in the middle of nowhere on I-75. I think it was in Tennessee... I was cut off so bad that when I swerved to avoid the van I ended up in the center median. It had rained and the ground was still wet. I knew if I hit the brakes the truck would end up rolling, so I just hit the clutch and coasted. I was able to slowly steer my way back on to the road, where the people in the van mouthed "SORRY!" They had the look on their faces that they had just killed me...

SC, Ct, and Nevada are the last 3 states that allow a motorcycle driver his choice of wearing a helmet or not , I
myself prefer not to wear a helmet when riding a street bike , But that has nothing to do with what happended last night,
I was driving back home from a friends house ,I had worked on her computer printer for her , On the way back home , I was driving behind a guy on a bike ,giving him
plenty of room , couple af cars lenths,
,We were cruisin, about 60 or so ,in a 55 heading back into town /city limits.
It;s about a 12 mile drive. Uneventful until a car coming the other way drifted into our lane,on a corner that gradually turned left
the biker was cool ,and the car veered back were it belonged after coming a few feet from the bike .Seeing it unfold was as scary as if something happened , IT SCARED THE SHIT OUTTA ME
Ever see a accident almost happen in front of you,and have it scare you 8-O
