Twenty years is shorter than it sounds. The world has felt heavier without Richard Pryor in it. I could say that about several people but none of the others had Richard's smile. That's all. Just remembering. Sunshine. Face. Peace.

Anything to make President Zero feel vulnerable -- even for 11 minutes -- is a wonderful thing.

I posted my letter to the POTUS everywhere else so I might as well do so here. If it has one too many fucks I won't be offended if you remove it.

He did pure funny. No politics. No life lessons. No social insight. Just pure, wacky, silliness... which is a lost art. And he was a very nice man.

Don't be too sure... there is plenty of time for them to get even more scary. But there is an up side... the scarier they get the more supporters they seem to lose.

About a year or so ago, a friend sent me a YouTube vid of Rich with Jerry Lewis on the Merv Griffin Show. It's from 1966 so RP is very nervous but it is still fun. I could not believe I hadn't seen it before then.

Happy birthday, Richard. Actually, happy birthday to the rest of us. For 75 years, Richard Pryor's comedy, honesty, spirit, and humanity has been shared with us mortals. And not a one of us has not benefited... even those who might refuse to believe it. The human race as a whole is at least somewhat...
