jane_haze,

My gal and I just had one of Linda McCartney's frozen meatless pizzas a few weeks back and it was really good. They have them here in Seattle at places like Safeway in the frozen foods section.

Inkblot,

Really?!? I've never seen them stateside, but like I said, I've lived in memphis for the majority of my life. I've kept an eye out for them for about 11 years.... I guess the south isn't a place to look for that type of food. I imagine they'll have it in the liberal thinking/eating section of the Fred Myers when I get to Alaska...I'll look more closely next time....

Thanks for the tip!

I just had my last pork chops the other week, I never used to eat them though - just wanted to remember what they tasted like before I gave them up!

Bingolong, re giving a Whopper to your vegetarian flatmate - boy, you ought'ta be ashamed o' yo'self... :-x
(Hope I spelt that correctly!)

Inkblot - those frozen pizzas sound interesting, will see if they have them somewhere over here.
I've not yet tried Linda Mcartney's range, but I am fond of Quorn - they do everything (including roasts!)

And to Jennifer and anyone ele who might be interested - the full name of my avitar (which is a Salvador Dali painting) is "Dream caused by the flight of a bumblebee around a pomegranate, one second before awakening".
And that's the truth!

jane_haze,

Do you have Quorn over there? Give one of their range a try, it could convert you...]:o)

Having said that, we don't have Corkys over here (or even liberal thinking/eating sections), so I don't know how good their food is!

Jennifer, those Boca Burgers sound very good, can you buy them in supermarkets?
Probably another in the range of Exclusive American Items(tm)though!

jane_haze,

Quorn is a range of meat free 'meats', in every style you can think of (fillets, burgers, roasts - even stuffed xmas turkey!). If you can get Quorn over there, I'd recommend checking it out. Good stuff!

Quark? Isn't that a design program?

Jennifer,

It is great isn't it - just paying tribute to another brilliant artist :)

Not as long as those "damn, water's cold" boys though!
