Is this what we've fallen to? Being entertained by somebody gettting their fucking tongue caught in a blender wheel?
Has anyone else seen this? I turn the channel every time it's on because I don't think that shit is funny. I like silly ass humour, trust me. I grew up on Three Stooges & Benny Hill. But for some reason, the way this commercial is executed, it just doesn't strike me as funny. I don't get the joke. Am I missing something? It's just an accident happening and they linger so long on him screaming.
I just don't know anymore. I'm seriously thinking about trying to email or write their company about this. Get a campaign going and get this shit pulled. And they wonder why the kids act so crazy.

dougdigitalpro,
Yeah it did shock the hell out of me the first time I peeped it...
I seen a few variations on it now,I've kind of tripped off it subconiously but this is the first time anyone else has mentioned it......
I went to Zimbabwe. I know how white people feel in America now; relaxed! Cause when I heard the police car I knew they weren't coming after me!
The Office Depot (or Office Max...can't remember which one)
bothers me MORE ("The Rubber Band Man"). Makes my skin
crawl. I dig the dancing, but that whole "let's get a Brother
out there to BOOGIE" thing REALLY annoys me...
Am I too sensitive, Doug & Bingo, or is it JUST me?
Smokey H,
Uh....no. you're not. I've kinda been on the fence about that one for a month now. I first saw an ad for him at a Depot store and I thought it was a little odd to have this brother with this huge afro hawking their products. But one ad had Einstein's pic next to his and the ad was some kind of comparison, both having afros and such, so I backed off. Now I see these commercials and to see a black man dancing and jigging like that stirs up all kinds of stereotypes but then you say, "He IS selling school supplies!" So, I don't know. It does kinda hit me the wrong way though.
It's like the ol' school rap song goes,
WHAT PEOPLE DO FOR MONEY!

I saw this commerical last night...I chuckled first but then I was like...wait....they got another silly stepn fechit negro dancing like a clown...to a black song....here we go again...First that prick from Joe Boxer and now this guy...
I'm not a fan of the commercial but I love the song. My favorite dancing commercial is the one of the sister in her bra and panties: "I wanna thank you for letting me, be myself.." Yeah, it's sexist and might even perpetuate a negative stereotype. But sister looks good. I like Tyra's Victoria Secret spot too. But I've been wanting to make a deposit in Tyra Banks for years. But I digress...
