Re: MS
Jennifer,
Thanks Jennifer. I forgot to sign in yesterday...I'm a dunce half the time!
Just pisses me off that nothing is geared toward those of us with progressive MS. I've attended some of those "webcasts" that claim to be for progressive MS, and then it turns out they are geared toward one of the interferons or chemos. When I question why there is so little research for the progressive types they either skirt the issue or say that our progression is so slow that they can't gauge their research. I think the reason is they can't make enough money off us!

cbrodie13,
I know that the progressive is the worse.. and I'm thankful that I have the rrms if I have to have this at all. But I do agree that the pharmacutical companies are making a lot of money with the "treatment" and not the "cure". Oh... and those seminars?????? the ones that the drug companies sponsor??????? I went to one... left early.

Re: MS
Jennifer,
Just saw 30 seconds of Richard on Larry King from 1996 or close to that. The hour is on MS and surprisingly informative for Larry. The main thing that keeps coming up: the disease works differently on every single person that has it. How the hell do you diagnose a disease like that??

Re: MS
astonamous,
Well, at least it is not fatal. And the "panel" seemed to be split between those who thought they'd find a cure in their lifetimes and those who didn't. But every one of them was excited about stem-cell research.
It's almost funny - I can't watch a Goddamn thing on TV anymore that doesn't at some point remind me just how much Bush sucks!
